Dr. Laura Jacobs is married to Wendell Jones, aka Whiz Kid. They were high school sweet hearts their senior year. They both went to college. They got married. He followed her to North Carolina when she did her Phd. She was doing her field work for her Phd when there was "an incident". She was pregnant with Andrew. His powers have been traced to then. She started manifesting powers after Drew became Avis. Laura has both native (meta) powers of Healing and grafted (god given) powers for Fertility from Chimalma.
