Note: This modification was recently excised from Nicole's psyche. The information was left for historical purposes.
Following Nicole’s abduction and her control of her body being excised, Nicole took to the using of profanities against Cullen. Since Cullen was over 350 years old, the acceptability of cursing while done was not considered lady-like, so he performed his first bit of psychic surgery on Nicole, rending her incapable of uttering curses or profanity, except where such a word is a proper way of referring to the object. An example of calling someone a bitch except where it actually refers to a female dog.
● Body Language Modification
Cullen needed prey to feed. After being able to properly mentally dominate Nicole into performing tasks for him, so he didn't need to puppeteer her anymore and save energy, he adjusted her body language in a manner that she now oozes sex appeal, catching the attention of everyone around her, turning them on, despite her not actively trying to. This would help Nicole become a lure for attracting beings that Cullen could later feed on.
● Enjoy being the center of attention
If Nicole being forced to ooze sexuality was not enough, Cullen compelled Nicole to subconsciously enjoy being at the center of attention. This would help her be the subject of focus, able to gather intelligence, and potentially locate prey more readily.

Nicole felt there was no point to going school if she was only doing it for Cullen. Cullen, at first, explained the value of an education, which she agreed to, then to enforce the matter, made sure she didn't change her mind by making her think, "If it's worth doing, do it well."
