Raissa Barboza de Oliveira

Raissa Barboza de Oliveira, 41 year old wife of Dr. Fausto de Oliveira and mother of Breaia de Oliveira. Raissa is the product of her society, a homemaker who watches over her husband's castle (home). She is aware of the changes in women's rights, but has not been in the work force, nor does she desire to. She recognizes that her daughter most likely will enter the workforce, in some capacity. Her husband has very traditional views on child raising and women. She balances teaching Breaia independence with obedience. She keeps tab Breaia's friends and her activities, both for social and developmental reasons. She is the one that pushed for Breaia to learn Capoeira as a defense method. However, she has stressed to Breaia that is should be a last resort.
