James Henry Hudson wedding (1996)

(deceased)

James Henry Hudson is the biological father of Adamantine.
James Henry Hudson found his calling early in life in his passion for painting - landscapes, still life, floral paintings, and even a number of portraits have come to life at the tip of his brush. He credits his wife Marianne for giving him the push he needed to open his own studio and train budding artists.
He is most well known for paintings of the southwest landscape, which are widely used in tourism publications, but can be found in many fine art books as well.
The world lost James Henry in 2020 to pancreatic cancer, but his work lives on in this gallery and studio. Before his passing, I received blessing from him and his family to continue to publish works under his studio name, and generally create three to four new pieces each year.

The James Henry Hudson Memorial Art Gallery

The JHH has been open to the public for nearly twenty years, opening its doors as a small art studio in 2011, and it has remained a small buzz in Sedona for the entire time it has existed.
The gallery is managed and staffed by Anna Flores, Art Gallery Employee and long time student of James'
Anna studied under James as soon as he opened the doors in 2011 and has been here ever since. Learned all about him, heard his stories. Knows Marianne (Mai'rin) and hears from her periodically. Does not know about Galaxy United or the Vren, but has suspicions as Marianne looks the same as she did in her wedding photo from 1996.
Creates new works with the blessing of James and Marianne coming from "James Henry Hudson Studio"

Holds art classes in the studio two to three times a week, teaching just as James did when he was alive.
