James Jones
James Jones is the original Mountain Man. Hiding out in the mountains of Northern California, his age is indeterminate. He has had two families. His first wife and child died and he retreated into the deep woods. Annie heard of him, and tracked him down, then pulled him out of the woods back to civilization. They had Amber, an only child. He dotes on her, but it's a firm father, giving her opportunities to risk and learn, balanced with protection to keep her from any serious harm. He took his brother in-law's name to become a modern Forest Ranger. He and Annie, her other Brother and sister-in-law have been the Forest Rangers on the side of Mt. Shasta for the last twenty plus years. They are known to most every police, ranger, national guard, fire fighter, town sheriff, or other official in the 4 county region around them. Renowned for hospitality and openness, they are the first to show up, and most generous. Amber is fond of stating that he has chased every boy away who ever thought of dating her. Until Ray Garcia.
